Spinning Sit-out Powerbomb
Apollo Crews has landed in NXT, and he’s ready to take over.
Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing in at a solid 240 lbs., Crews is the perfect combination of strength, speed and agility. A student of the fearsome Mr. Hughes, Crews is just as likely to muscle his opponent around as he is to bust out a jaw-dropping standing shooting star press.
Crews spent several years touring around the world, including an extended stay in Japan, where he fine-tuned his high-flying skills. He crossed paths with the likes of Neville and Solomon Crowe on the independents before making his way to NXT.
He made his highly anticipated debut at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. In front of a sold-out crowd at the Barclays Center, Crews made an impactful debut, defeating the "Perfect 10" Tye Dillinger in impressive fashion, earning the win with a gorilla press followed up with a breathtaking standing moonsault.
The newcomer followed up on his impressive debut at TakeOver: Respect, defeeating Tyler Breeze with a thunderous powerbomb. Crews will look to bounce back after suffering his first singles defeat in a very competitve contest against Baron Corbin at NXT TakeOver: London.
Now that he’s settled in at NXT, Crews had made it clear what his ultimate goal is: winning the NXT Championship.
